History
Dubai Investments Park was established in 1997 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC, which was founded in 1995. The development was conceived as part of Dubai's strategic plan to diversify its economy beyond oil dependency. Infrastructure work began in 1997, and the first tenants moved in by 1999. Over the years, DIP has undergone several expansion phases to reach its current scale. Major infrastructure upgrades were completed between 2005 and 2010, and significant additional investments were made to prepare the area for increased traffic ahead of Expo 2020.
