Overview

New Xade is a village located in the central part of the Ghanzi District of Botswana. The population was 1,614 in the 2022 census. It was built as a government resettlement camp for the forced relocation of San peoples from the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. beginning in 1997. New Xade is located an hour's drive east of Ghanzi, the nearest town.
