Both Rindler Creek and Blue Rock Springs Creek have been affected. Vallejo has a mild, coastal Mediterranean climate and can be an average of cooler than nearby inland cities. Vallejo is influenced by its position on the northeastern shore of San Pablo Bay, but is less sheltered from heatwaves than areas directly on or nearer the Pacific Ocean/Golden Gate such as San Francisco and Oakland.
