History

Bofflens is first mentioned in 1007 as in curte Bofflenis. In 1011 it was mentioned as Boflinges.

Of the agricultural land, 57.8% is used for growing crops and 13.0% is pastures. The municipality is located between the Orbe valley and the foothills of the Jura Mountains.
