Van Buren is a town in Aroostook County, Maine, United States, located along the Saint John River across from Saint-Léonard, New Brunswick, Canada. The population was 2,038 at the 2020 United States census.

Van Buren is connected to Saint Leonard, New Brunswick, via the Saint Leonard-Van Buren Bridge. This climatic region is typified by large seasonal temperature differences, with warm to hot (and often humid) summers and cold (sometimes severely cold) winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Van Buren has a humid continental climate, abbreviated "Dfb" on climate maps.
