Overview

Zblewo is a village in Starogard County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of Gmina Zblewo. It is located within the ethnocultural region of Kociewie in the historic region of Pomerania.

History & geography

History

The oldest mention of the village dates back to 1305. Zblewo was a royal village of the Kingdom of Poland, administratively located in the Tczew County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. It was annexed by Prussia in the First Partition of Poland in 1772. The development of Zblewo in the latter half of the 19th century is primarily associated with the construction of the Prussian Eastern Railway.
