Anna is a city in the U.S. state of Texas. Located in Collin County, its population was 16,896 at the 2020 U.S. census. Anna is included in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

Geography

Anna is located in northern Collin County at . U.S. Route 75 freeway passes through the west side of the city and leads southwest to the center of Dallas and north to Denison. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city of Anna has a total area of , of which is land and , or 0.46%, is water. According to the City of Anna website, the city has a total area of approximately in its city limits and approximately in its planning area. The climate in this area is characterized by relatively high temperatures and evenly distributed precipitation throughout the year. The Köppen climate classification system describes the weather as humid subtropical, Cfa.
